TL;DR
  • Removed countdown, intro animation and festive quirks;
  • Added post index;
  • Back-end bits refactored;
  • Front-end performance optimizations;
  • Small UI changes;
  • Æðð°ð æ” °æßŧ°® °ŋŋ

Yeah, title is self-explanatory. Most the updates were to improve performance, as I rushed a bit on that with the deadline of releasing v7 on Dec 31st of 2022, so you'd have a countdown to new years.Speaking of which, this leads us to the first change: The countdown and confetti effects are no longer available. They might return for a future event though, who knows. Along with the intro animaton that was also removed. Very time wasting, just a small show-off. Intended to be as ephemeral as the festive quirks.

As you probably have noticed while coming to read this post, now there's an index available, so you can go straight up to the posts, skipping the part where boring windows show up in your way, and the index is also prepared server-side, so the JS haters 'round the area don't need to hate on me.

Apart from that, just tiny optimizations to overall server code (so you get ⚡ fast ⚡ server responses, specially for the ones that don't like JavaScript) and performance improvements (thanks Lighthouse). and also, a tiny little easter egg

That's pretty much it, both for the update and for this blog post. Hope y'all have a nice 2023, as it said on the timer, before it commited die. Take care, and see ya.
